Transfer Students

Requirements

The admissions committee looks favorably on transfer applicants who have taken challenging and diverse coursework at other institutions. Consideration of a student’s candidacy includes review of course selection and the extent to which that selection addresses the university’s general education requirements. Your latest achievement trends are given the most consideration. Most transfer students admitted have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.7 or higher.

Transfer Credit

Students who have attended regionally accredited colleges are eligible to receive credit in transfer for courses completed with grades of "C" or better in courses comparable to those offered by the University of New Hampshire. Remedial or vocational courses are not accepted in transfer. Credit is not awarded for math courses which are equivalent to high school Algebra or below. Credit is accepted for Finite Math and Statistics courses.

NH Transfer Connections

Students transferring from the NH Transfer Connections Program (NHTCP) do not need to fill out the UNH Manchester Application or pay the application fee. If you are an NHTCP student at one of New Hampshire’s community colleges please see your current academic advisor to obtain the one-page NH Transfer Connections Reactivation Form to start your transfer to UNH Manchester.
