UNH MANCHESTER ART CLUB

The UNH Manchester Art Club is about exploring your creative side and looking at the world in a different way. This semester we are helping with the 1000 Cranes for Peace public art project on campus. You don't need artistic skills to join, just an imagination. Come create with us!

BRICK AND MORTAR THEATRE GROUP

This group is looking for students who sing, act or dance. In the past we have performed two Broadway in Revues and Condensed Potter (a UNH Manchester written parody). In the spring there will be several productions in which to be a part. Check out our events here: http://manchester.unh.edu/arts

BRICKS (The Publication)

This group puts out a publication of our students and their background stories. Bricks is UNH Manchester's journalistic venture into highlighting the most important aspect of the university's foundation: its students.

CLASSY CATS (DANCE TEAM)

Classy Cats is UNH Manchester's premiere dance group. They meet weekly on campus to practice, learn and apply new dance techniques and to meet new people. No previous dance experience necessary- just the willingness to learn. Check out our events here: http://manchester.unh.edu/arts

Ever wanted to express yourself while having fun? Ever wanted to find or let loose your creative talent? Here's your chance! In the Ink Blot, our purpose is to gather up individuals alike in the visual arts and writing fields and to spark an artistic culture on campus, one project at a time.

Calling all fans of original hip-hop music! UNH Manchester is looking for: Rappers, Singers, Poets, Song Writers, Instrumentalists or Music Producers.

Mill'S TONES (A CAPPELLA Quintet)

MILLING AROUND (A CAPPELLA GROUP)

THREADS OF IMAGINATION (PUPPET THEATRE TROUPE)

Threads of Imagination is the only Puppet Theatre Troupe in New Hampshire! Come and join the talented cast, crew and writers as they go around the state of New Hampshire putting on productions and shows for various audiences. No previous experience is required. GENERAL INTEREST

ANIME CLUB

Do you like Japanese Animation such as Pokemon or reading graphic novels such as Naruto (or doing anything else Anime-related such as drawing or fan fiction)? The new UNHM Anime Club (which is starting this coming Wednesday @ 4PM) is the place you want to be! During this time, we will watch anime, discuss favorites (or just watch 'em XD), and share things we like about Anime (drawings done by you or someone else, trading cards, stuff you got from cons etc.) Come join the fun at Anime Club in the lounge! =D

CINEMA CLUB (A "REELY" COOL CLUB)

The Cinema Club brings together students from all majors to watch and discuss various cinema masterpieces and videos. For more information on times and locations please email Daphne below.

COMMON GROUND (GLBTQIA)

We endeavor to provide a safe, welcoming place for GLBTQI students and their allies. We also educate the campus as a whole on GLBTQIA issues. We seek to provide an outlet for GLBTQI and allied students to freely express themselves and their sexual/gender identity. We provide the UNH Manchester campus with programming that relates to GLBTQIA issues and concerns. You don't have to be queer to join! Allies are an equally important and integral part of promoting GLBTQIA diversity and rights.

GUILD of GAMING

This group's purpose is to build community through their mutual interest in gaming. This group meets throughout the semester on various days in the Student Lounge

INTERVARSITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

This group hopes to allow a safe place for us to grow and connect with others and to foster faith and beliefs as a group or individually.

RUMOR MILL: A SECRET PROJECT

UNH Manchester's Rumor Mill is looking to collect secrets throughout the year. Our project unites all of our students, staff, faculty into an anonymous book of secrets.

STUDENTS IN ACTION

Join others who are interested in service activities around campus or off campus. This group is sure to give you quite a few opportunities to volunteer and give back.

STUDENT VETERANS OF AMERICA CHAPTER

Yesterday's Warriors. Today's Scholars. Tomorrow's Leaders. The chapter coordinates a wide range of campus activities. These activities include, but are not limited to: Informal social meetings that serve as peer support groups, Benefits seminars and counseling in conjunction with other organizations, Publication of newsletters and brochures, Local service projects and volunteer work, and Pre-professional networking. These local peer support groups are an important part of ensuring that every veteran is ultimately successful in higher education.

VETERANS AND ALLIES CLUB

At UNH Manchester several new initiatives are underway for our veterans.  The Veterans and Allies club is founded for veterans and their allies. It is an organization striving to enhance campus life for all students with prior military service or students who are currently serving in a Guard/Reserve unit.  We are concerned with helping all student veterans with the changes that occur when one leaves the military and enters school. Through meetings and social activities, we give student veterans a chance to meet, relax, share problems, and get current, accurate information on veterans’ issues. Membership is open to everyone, including those who are not veterans or current members of a Guard/Reserve unit. 

WARMTH FROM THE MILLYARD

We need all types of majors and individuals who want to make a difference! The mission of Warmth From the Millyard is “to mobilize the community in clothing drives and other projects to demonstrate our collective power to address the needs of our neighbors through collaborative partnerships.”

All club leaders are encouraged to sit on this panel of clubs. The club exists to form partnerships and collaboration between clubs and to increase activity on campus.

STUDENT ACTIVITY FEE ALLOCATION COUNCIL (SAFAC)

The goal of the SAFAC is to enhance the collegiate environment by improving the co-curricular opportunities and activities, to improve student activities designated to increase student satisfaction and retention, and to enrich the campus environment and encourage the involvement of students, thereby promoting academic achievement and the development of student potential.

STUDENT ADVISORY BOARD

This group meets twice a month to applaud successes, discuss changes, and communicate regularly with leadership on campus


ACADEMIC and CAREER RELATED

UNHM ASL (American Sign Language) Club

This group's purpose is to encourage fluency in ASL and involvement in the Deaf community. ASL club aims to create and support opportunities for fluency and involvement. The ASL club unites students involved in the ASL program before, after and during classes at UNH Manchester.

BIOLOGY CLUB/H4>

The UNHMBC aims to compose a unified student body to explore all fields of Biology and related sciences and to provide an open horizon of the biological community out in the world.

ENACTUS (Formerly SIFE)

We are a community of student, academic and business leaders committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better, more sustainable world. This team won the “Rookie of the Year” award for their national convention in 2009. To sign up for this winning team, contact us below or come to our info meeting. Students must be at least a sophomore and can be from any major.

POLITICS and SOCIETY CLUB (Poli-Soc Club)

This group was founded on the ideas of providing an educational and social forum for students who share our interests in political affairs. This group meets frequently at night and at various activities throughout the year. You do not have to be a part of the major to be a part of this group.

PSYCHOLOGY CLUB

The field of Psychology can be a difficult one to break into, so the Psychology Club was formed to make it a little easier. The club will be host to career workshops and guest speakers from the industry to provide our members with the leg up they need to make an impact after graduation.

STUDENTS FOR A FREE TIBET

Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) works in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence. We are a chapter-based network of young people and activists around the world. Through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action, we campaign for Tibetans' fundamental right to political freedom. Our role is to empower and train youth as leaders in the worldwide movement for social justice.

WRITERS' BLOCK

From narratives to novels, slam poetry to scripts, one-liners to 100 + pages; Writers' Block is here to help. Through workshops, prompts, and discussions, we aim to encourage and better creative thoughts and ideas. Join us 12-1 Tuesdays and 4-6 Thursdays in the Library. No prior experience needed.

YOUNG ECONOMISTS CLUB

Young Economists at UNH Manchester is a chapter of Young Americans for Liberty. This is an activist group on campus that will revolve around the principles of economic liberty and individual responsibility. Working closely with local business the group will have forums and debates exploring economic and political philosophy. If you are interested in furthering the cause for Liberty in all aspects of life this is the group for you!


SPORTING/EXERCISE

ULTIMATE FRISBEE CLUB

Looking to have an active New Year's resolution (or try to continue yours)? UNH Manchester has started an ULTIMATE FRISBEE CLUB! Ultimate Frisbee is a coed, non-contact, team-oriented sport that will enhance your endurance and improve your health.

GOALS FOR A CAUSE

What's life without a goal?! Come join the University's soccer club! Everyone who wants to play will play, no matter what your level may be. We play for fun,create events and look forward to helping out our community (hence the name "Goals for a cause").

RUN OF THE MILL: RUNNING CLUB

If you’re interested in running, we are, too! This club is looking to have some fun while running. We’re looking for your ideas to hang out and have fun while exercising. Many opportunities exist!

UNH MANCHESTER FLAG FOOTBALL (7-7 team sport)

It is time to strap on your football cleats and gloves to get ready for a full season of 7-on-7 Flag Football. During the regular season each team will play one weekly game against another team. After the regular season schedule, there will be the Ultimate PLAYOFF week! Only the best will survive!! Come and join our Flag Football Club at the UNH Manchester Campus!
